According to Italian press reports, Lazio defender Michaël Ciani has a day to decide between joining Cardiff or Norwich.
It would appear that Michaël Ciani’s future lies in the Premier League rather than Serie A, but the defender may choose either Cardiff or Norwich.
The latest reports in Italy suggest that Ciani has flown into the UK to make his decision by talking to both clubs today.
Norwich had been the early favourites for his signature and were said to be on the brink of welcoming him to the club towards the start of the week.
The towering Frenchman has been at Lazio since leaving Bordeaux in 2012 and has made 32 appearances in a Biancocelesti shirt.
However, Lazio are ready to let Ciani go out on loan and the Premier League seems like a sensible destination for a physical centre back.
It could be hectic day for the 29-year-old who may travel across the country in order to speak to both his potential suitors.
Cardiff will be hoping to avoid a repeat of their other Italian foray which ended in disappointment when Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella turned them down.
