Chris Sutton has stated that Harry Kane has gone from ‘chucking his toys out of the pram’ to now being in a ‘happy place’ at Tottenham, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
The BBC pundit added that Kane ‘hasn’t been at his best’ for large parts of this season and feels that the supposed failed move to Manchester City played a big part.
None of that indifferent form was on show at the Etihad on Saturday when Kane netted a brace to help Spurs beat Man City 3-2.
It was a stunning performance from the England international and one of the best from anyone in the Premier League so far this term.
Sutton touched upon Kane’s situation and how he seems to feel much happier under Antonio Conte.
“Kane hasn’t been at his best this season,” said Sutton. “But a large part of that was him chucking his toys out of the pram, at the start of the season.
“His head wasn’t in the right place. His form wasn’t there for Spurs. Who knows how he would have done had he gone to Manchester City? He seems like he is in a happy place now.”

Just like under Jose Mourinho, Spurs have yet another trophy-laden coach in their dugout.
Whilst Mourinho divides opinion in today’s game, someone like Conte is more appreciated.
Either way, he is possibly one of the best coaches in the world and this is an ample chance for Daniel Levy to back the Italian in the transfer market.
If that happens in the summer, then rather than fearing they will lose Kane, Spurs might just see their star striker sign a new deal.
