Odsonne Edouard has scored eight goals for Celtic this season.

Christopher Jullien has told The Sunday Post that Celtic team-mate Odsonne Edouard has the potential to become as good as Kylian Mbappe.
Edouard is arguably the Hoops’ most important player and has eight goals to his name across all competitions this season.
At 21, the former Paris Saint-Germain prospect is nowhere near the finished article as of yet but the future looks very bright, given how accomplished he already is.
And Jullien, a £7 million signing by Celtic this past summer [Herald Scotland], told The Sunday Post that he’s never known a hitman to be as complete as his compatriot, even claiming that he can match the £180 million striker.
He said: “Can he reach the same level as Mbappe? I think so, yes. I’ve played against a lot of strikers and I have definitely not met many who are as complete as Odsonne.
“He is quick, skilful and powerful. Sometimes there are really powerful players who are not so skilful. But he is a complete striker.”
It really is a massive shout by the former Toulouse defender, but an exciting one nonetheless.
On the one hand, it would seem like there’s a gulf in class between Mbappe and Edouard but, then again, Jullien will know how good his team-mate is due to facing the Celtic marksman in training and you have to take him at his word on this.
Will he ever be worth £180 million, like Mbappe was? Probably not, but Jullien suggests that the Bhoys star can get a lot better and given where Edouard already is in his development, that’s surely some prospect.
