Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic won against Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Heart of Midlothian defender Christophe Berra has hit back at Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers over his comments about the pitch at Tynecastle Park, as quoted by BBC Sport.

Celtic got the better of Hearts 3-1 away from home at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh in the Scottish Premiership this past Sunday.

As reported by BBC Sport, Celtic manager Rodgers said that the pitch at the stadium was not according to required standard.

Hearts and Scotland international defender Berra, 33, has hit back at the former Liverpool and Swansea City manager regarding his comments.

Berra told BBC Sport regarding Rodgers’s comments about the Tynecastle Park pitch: “It depends what team you’re playing.

“You’re not going to have it nice and slick for Celtic with their top players. At the moment, we’re not at a place to be competing with Celtic at that level.”

Celtic have already won the Scottish Premiership title this season, while Hearts are sixth in the league table at the moment.
