Christiansen’s response when asked if Leeds are good enough for top-six finish

Leeds United are outside of the Championship playoffs at the moment.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has said that he is confident that his side can finish in the top six of the Championship this season, as quoted by Leeds Live.

The West Yorkshire outfit are eighth in the league table at the moment with 30 points from 20 matches.

The Whites are five points behind Derby County, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Leeds head coach Christiansen believes that his current squad is good enough to finish in the top six.

“I believe so,” said Christiansen when asked if he thinks that his squad is currently good enough to finish in the top six, as quoted by Leeds Live.

Leeds have recovered from their recent slump in form, and there are some very good players in the current squad.

While Christiansen may be confident about finishing in the playoffs with his current squad, the problem is that rival teams aiming for a top-six finish will make signings in the January transfer window.

It is important that Christiansen identifies his team’s weaknesses and addresses them in the January transfer window in order to enhance Leeds’s chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
