Leeds United could be set to let two goalkeepers leave.

Leeds United could be about to sell two goalkeepers, according to reports.

Both Rob Green and Marco Silvestri are in line to depart, with new manager Thomas Christiansen committing a big show of faith towards new signing Felix Wiedwald.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports Silvestri is being lined up for a move to Serie A side Hellas Verona.

It is claimed contacts have been made between the parties concerned and there is hope of an imminent agreement.

Talksport’s Ian Abraham reports Rob Green is also available for transfer.

The Chronicle are also reporting Green’s availabilty, from Sunderland’s perspective, with the Black Cats rumoured to be looking at signing the veteran.

Letting one of the goalkeeper’s go was to be expected after Wiedwald’s arrival, but it would be a shock if new boss Thomas Christiansen has decided to axe both.

It would leave youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell as a back-up.

He had been expected to sign a season long loan at Oldham Athletic, but this fell through yesterday, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported, for unspecified reasons.

The potentially changing situation at Leeds offers a clear reason why.
