Leeds United lost at Portman Road in the Championship at the weekend.

The West Yorkshire outfit suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Ipswich away from home at Portman Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
It was the Whites’ second successive loss following their embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Newport County away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.

Leeds head coach Christiansen has revealed what he told his players after the loss at Ipswich.
Christiansen has also disclosed his conversation with 27-year-old midfielder Eunan O’Kane, who was sent off in the 37th minute.

Christiansen told Leeds Live when asked for his message to his players: ”Proud, proud. Because the effort that they showed and everyone in the stadium also recognised that it was not right to lose this game.”
On his conversation with O’Kane, Christiansen told Leeds Live: “Well, that the opponent went to him, that they touch each other, yes, but the one that went down was the opponent and it was him that came and provoked.
“They touch each other, there was no sign that he goes to reply so here the one who goes to the ground is the one who stays on the pitch.”
Leeds’s performance against Ipswich was not great, and it is clear that the Whites need to improve their performances.
The Whites are still very much in the running for the playoffs, but they have to put together a run of positive results soon in order to stay in touch with the rest of the contenders for a top-six finish.
