Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored twice for Leeds United against Burton Albion at the weekend, but could he miss the Championship match against Birmingham City on Tuesday evening?

Lasogga’s wife is due to give birth imminently, meaning that the striker could miss the Championship game against Birmingham at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
The 25-year-old made his debut for the Whites at the weekend following his season-long loan move from German club Hamburg in the summer transfer window.

The former Germany Under-21 international striker enjoyed a memorable debut for Leeds on Saturday afternoon, scoring twice in the 5-0 victory over Burton Albion at Elland Road in the Championship.
Leeds head coach Christiansen has said that Lasogga is part of his squad for the match against Birmingham for the time being – this will certainly please the fans.

“I believe he will be there, but at the end we don’t know what will happen,” Christiansen told BBC Radio Leeds when asked if he is hopeful that Lasogga will play against Birmingham. “I count him in this squad of 18 players, and after we will see.”
Lasogga has hit the ground running at Leeds, and the early signs are very positive.
With Birmingham struggling at the moment, the striker should be able to score one or two more goals against Harry Rednapp’s side at Elland Road on Tuesday evening if he plays.
