Christiansen has update regarding Pablo Hernandez and Eunan O’Kane

Leeds United will face Queens Park Rangers in the Championship this coming weekend.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has suggested to The Yorkshire Evening Post that Pablo Hernandez could feature against Queens Park Rangers this coming weekend.

Hernandez started the Championship match between Leeds and Aston Villa at Elland Road last Friday evening.

The Spanish attacking midfielder was playing well when he suffered an injury just before half time and had to be substituted.

Leeds head coach Christiansen has suggested that the 32-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, could recover from his hamstring strain and feature in the Championship match against QPR away from home at Loftus Road this coming Saturday afternoon.

Eunan O’Kane missed Leeds’s game against Villa, which ended in a 1-1 draw, due to a hip problem, but Christiansen expects the 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international international midfielder to recover for the match against QPR.

Christiansen told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “Eunan would not have been 100 per cent. In these games I need players who are 100 per cent ready.

“But I believe that Stuey will be close (for QPR), Eunan will be there. Pablo I also believe will be there.”

Hernandez and O’Kane are important players for Leeds, and if they recover in time for the match against QPR, then it will enhance the Whites’ chances of picking up all three point against the London club.
