Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying an excellent season so far.
Christian Ziege has revealed on Twitter that he still looks out for Tottenham Hotspur’s results.
The German left-back, a beaten finalist in the 2002 World Cup, spent three years at Tottenham until 2004.
And the 44-year-old admits he has retained an affinity for Spurs after confirming on Twitter that he still keeps an eye on how the Lilywhites are doing.
Ziege will have been pleased by what he has seen so far.
Tottenham, who are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League, sit fifth in the table but only a point separates them from leaders Manchester City.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are also going well in Europe on their return to the Champions League, sitting second in Group E – a point behind Monaco and a point clear of Bayer Leverkusen.
The North Londoners will fancy their chances of reaching the knockout phase of the tournament, given that two of their last three games are home fixtures…at Wembley.
They are, however, in a slight funk at the minute and have not won any of their last three games in all competitions, scoring once since club football resumed following the international break.
But Harry Kane’s return from injury in the coming weeks may go a long way toward solving that problem.
