Reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Dusan Vlahovic is “one of the strongest” young talents in European football alongside Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, former Italy international Christian Vieri has told his Bobo TV Twitch channel.
It’s certainly tempting to wonder how many goals the silky Serbian would score if he, rather than Haaland, was leading the line for a Borussia Dortmund side with more creativity than Terry Pratchett on Pro Plus.
In total, Vlahovic has scored 15 times during his breakthrough Serie A campaign.
His impressive tally is made all the more impressive when you consider Fiorentina are toiling in the bottom half of the table having lost their most gifted creator – the electrifying Federico Chiesa – to Juventus last summer.
Tuttosport claims Vlahovic’s stellar showings have caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, while inconsistent Arsenal have also shown an interest as Alexandre Lacazette’s future remains uncertain at the Emirates (Calciomercato).
And, according to Vieri, the self-confident and supremely gifted Vlahovic deserves to be mentioned alongside such exalted company.
“I think that, after Haaland and Mbappe, he is one of the strongest in Europe,” raves the former Inter and Atletico Madrid frontman.

“He has quality, technique. He is Serbian and they are all technically good. They are called the Brazilians of the east.”
West Ham United and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham have also been linked with Vlahovic recently (CM and La Repubblica).
And, like Chiesa before him, the striker faces an uncertain future at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, resisting Fiorentina’s attempts to tie him down to a new contract.
