The father of Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic has told Sky Sports that links to Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are ‘hogwash’.

Pulisic, 19, has become one of the top teenagers in European football since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2015, and his form in Germany has inevitably resulted in speculation over his future.

The United States international, hit five goals and five assists in all competitions for Dortmund this season, with recent reports suggesting a move could be on the cards.

Earlier this month, Bild reported that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp – who oversaw Pulisic’s move to Dortmund three years ago – was keen to reunite with the attacking midfielder, and was preparing a €60million (£52million) bid.

The Mirror claim that Manchester United are ready to offer Anthony Martial in an attempt to land Pulisic in exchange, with fresh reports from The Telegraph suggesting that Tottenham are plotting a £50million move this summer.

Pulisic won’t be at the World Cup this summer so can’t even focus on his on-field performance for some time yet, but his father has attempted to clear up speculation over his son’s future.

Mark Pulisic has told Sky Sports that the rumours of a move to Liverpool, United or Spurs are ‘hogwash’ and he has no idea why his son is linked with a different club every week, but didn’t totally rule out leaving Signal Iduna Park this summer.

“He was linked to Tottenham. Last week it was Liverpool. The week before Man United. The week before this… it’s hogwash,” said Pulisic. “He’s linked with a different club every week. I have no idea. His agent right now is working and looking, in close relation with me and Christian, and we’re just trying to see what the best phase of his next development will be.”

“Now is the time that the season has just ended that we’ll sit down with Dortmund, we’ll sit down with, I don’t know whether others clubs are in the mix, [and see what] Dortmund’s idea is and their plans for Christian,” he added.
