Christian Pulisic speaks about his partnership with Michy Batshuayi at Chelsea

The Chelsea duo both came off the bench to have a big impact for Frank Lampard’s side in midweek.

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has told Football London that he loves playing alongside Michy Batshuayi.

Pulisic and Batshuayi have already played together at Borussia Dortmund in their careers, and they are now linking up again at Chelsea.

The pair showed a great understanding in the week, as Chelsea beat Ajax 1-0 in the Champions League.

Pulisic and Batshuayi both came off the bench, and the winger set up the Belgian striker to score the winner.

Both Pulisic and Batshuayi are now both pushing for starts at Chelsea, and the American international thinks that the striker is great to link-up with.

“He’s easy to play with,” Pulisic said about the £33 million striker (Guardian). “We’ve played together for a while and we have a nice connection. It was crazy, we were able to help with the goal and he made a great finish.”

Pulisic had endured a difficult start to life at Chelsea after signing in the summer, but the 21-year-old is really starting to show signs of promise now.

Pulisic may well have earned a spot back in Chelsea’s starting line-up at the weekend, when Frank Lampard’s side take on Burnley in the Premier League.
