Christian Pulisic open to England move, Liverpool and Spurs should bid

Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic looks set to leave the Bundesliga club.

Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic has become one of the world’s top young talents in recent years, but it seems that his future lies away from Signal Iduna Park.

The United States international has dazzled with his pace and dribbling whilst in Dortmund’s famous yellow shirt, and all the signs point to him leaving the club in 2019.

With Jacob Bruun Larsen and Jadon Sancho as Dortmund’s first-choice wingers, Pulisic isn’t guaranteed a game right now, even with two goals and two assists so far this season.

Pulisic’s contract expires in 2020, and with contract talks shelved, it seems likely that Dortmund will cash in on Pulisic before his value plummets – and January may just be the perfect time for the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham to make their move.

Pulisic – who will face the United States tomorrow night – has today told the Daily Mail that he is open to moving to the Premier League, with Liverpool still interested in reuniting him with his former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp.

Add in that the Daily Mail claimed over the summer that Spurs were looking to launch a bid for £50million-rated Pulisic, and both Premier League clubs should be preparing their moves to lure Pulisic in January.

Pulisic could provide the spark of creativity that Liverpool have sometimes lacked this season, whether that’s from a central area or out wide, whilst adding more pace in the final third and even a notable marketing piece for Liverpool’s commercial work in the States.

Meanwhile, Spurs – a club Pulisic trained with before signing for Dortmund – can stand to add more quality in the final third, and signing another wide man may free up Son Heung-min to play as a striker more regularly, whilst also arriving as a marquee signing to appease disgruntled fans.

With time ticking down on Pulisic’s contract and the player himself opening the door to a Premier League move, both Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino should be looking to launch bid moves for Pulisic in January, with a real battle for his signature imminent.
