Christian Eriksen’s goal against West Ham United means that the Tottenham Hotspur star has now surpassed former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner’s goal-telling in the Premier League.

Eriksen has scored as many as 33 goals in the Premier League for Spurs since his move from Ajax in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11.5 million.

The 25-year-old Denmark international has now scored one more goal than his compatriot Nicklas Bendtner, who was on the books of Tottenham’s bitter North London rivals Arsenal from 2004 until 2014 and is currently at Rosenborg.
The former Ajax star is delighted to have created history with his goal in the 3-2 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium in the league and has also made a playful joke about surpassing Bendtner.
Eriksen told Tottenham’s official website about becoming the highest-scoring Dane in Premier League history: “I’m very happy I’m above Bendtner now, move him aside!”

One of the best players in the current Tottenham team, Eriksen is one of the most creative players in the world.
The Denmark international attacking midfielder scored eight goals and provided 15 assists in 36 Premier League appearances last season.
So far this season, the 25-year-old scored two goals and provided two assists in six league games.
