Tottenham Hotspur will face Liverpool in the Premier League this coming weekend.
Eriksen has found the net 25 times in 83 international matches for Denmark, according to The Mirror, and the 26-year-old wants to replicate that for Tottenham.
“I got off to a very slow start with five goals in my first 50 games for Denmark,” Eriksen told The Mirror. “But my form with Denmark hasn’t been too bad since.
“It took me a while but I’m finally here, it’s almost going too well, but I hope it carries on. I’ve always had many shots, even in the Premier League but I just haven’t scored yet.
“I’m trying to get in good positions in every game to create something or take a shot but they just keep flying in for the national team. It’s great to have that form going into the weekend.”
Ominous for Liverpool
Tottenham will return to action this weekend when they take on Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League.
Eriksen’s aforementioned comments will be ominous for Liverpool, as the Denmark international – who is great form at the moment and earns £75,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – seems determined to score his first goal of the season against the Reds.
Liverpool are playing well, but the Spurs attacking midfielder is a very tricky player who can score from open play as well as from set-pieces.
Eriksen scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 Premier League appearances for Tottenham during the 2017-18 campaign, according to WhoScored.
Both Tottenham and Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
