The Tottenham Hotspur star was in fine fettle against Juventus yesterday.

Spurs star Christian Eriksen spoke to reporters following his side’s impressive 2-0 friendly win over Juventus at Wembley yesterday, and discussed his goal, divulging what he told his teammate Dele Alli before netting against the Italian champions, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Dane is widely considered as one of Tottenham’s best players, and he undoubtedly makes them tick, with his incredible vision and constant movement.

The 25-year-old enjoyed an wonderfully successful season with the Lilywhites last term, scoring eight goals and chipping in with 15 assists in 36 Premier League outings.

Spurs fans will be expecting even more from Eriksen this season, and he could very well play a defining role in Tottenham’s campaign again, if his pre-season form is anything to go by.

The Denmark international spoke to reporters yesterday, and opened up on what he told Dele Alli before scoring his side’s second goal against the Old Lady, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“It was the easiest option to take it around Buffon. I said to Dele before that I was open and this time he gave the pass, it was great timing and a good goal.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s men kick off their campaign with a trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United a week today, and Eriksen will have to be at his very best, if Spurs are to leave Tyneside with all three points.
