Tottenham Hotspur’s winning run was brought to an abrupt end as Mauricio Pochettino’s side were beaten at Wembley.

Christian Eriksen has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment that Tottenham’s 2018 ended in defeat, but also his pride at making his 250th appearance for the club.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side went into Saturday’s clash with Wolves off the back of a five-game winning run in the Premier League that had left some backing Spurs for a potential title challenge.
And they seemed to be well on their way towards securing a sixth straight victory as Harry Kane scored a stunning goal just before the midway point in the first-half.
However, Wolves would fight back superbly in the final 20 minutes at Wembley, with Willy Boly, Raul Jimenez and Helder Costa getting on the scoresheet to help Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to the 3-1 victory.

It was a disappointing day for Spurs who have now fallen nine points back of Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s side demolished Arsenal later on in the afternoon. But it was also a landmark occasion for Eriksen.
The Dane took to social media to comment on the result and making 250 appearances for Tottenham, during which time he has scored over 60 goals, including 44 in the Premier League.

Here is how Eriksen reacted to the game…
