Tottenham Hotspur are winless in their last seven matches in all competitions.
Christian Eriksen has told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to find a rhythm this season, because of the volume of matches they have played.
Tottenham have had to compete in both the Champions League and the Premier League this term, and their hectic schedule has caused some complications.
While Tottenham are still unbeaten in Premier League action, they have drawn six of their first 11 matches.
Spurs are currently five points behind league leaders Liverpool, and their most recent match finished as a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
Tottenham have now failed to win any of their last seven games in all competitions, and Eriksen admits that this run of form has been disappointing.
“It’s been a very long stretch with many draws and then just a few defeats that have done much harm to us,” Eriksen said (quotes translated by Sports Witness).
“It’s difficult to get into the rhythm when there are so many matches… But against Arsenal we created chances and that’s probably a match we should have won.”
Eriksen has failed to show his best form in a Spurs shirt so far this season, and he is still waiting for his first Premier League goal of the season.
The Danish international remains a key player for Tottenham, but he is under pressure to improve soon.
Tottenham are next action after the international break, when they take on West Ham United at White Hart Lane.
