The Crystal Palace newbie explained why his Twitter bio briefly said he was a Burnley player.
Christian Benteke scores
Crystal Palace today broke their transfer record to sign Belgian international Christian Benteke from Liverpool.
It was a big money move, reported by the BBC to be in the region of £27 million, and one which has Palace fans very excited.

The official Twitter account for Benteke was changed soon after the move, with his bio now stating he was no longer a Liverpool player. But it did not say he was a Palace player either, rather it was Burnley who got the credit for his signing.

It was of course a simple mistake. Benteke soon took to Twitter to apologise for the error, confirming he was a Palace player.
Eagles fans will be hoping that the Belgian can rekindle the form he had whilst an Aston Villa player – after struggling to find his feet after a move to Liverpool last summer.
As long as he remembers he is a Palace player, not Burnley, that’ll be a good start.
