Liverpool will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.
Liverpool shocked world football on Tuesday night, beating Barcelona 4-0 and progressing through to the Champions League final, whilst Tottenham produced a miracle of their own last night, coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 away at Ajax and booking their place in the final in Madrid in the process.
This season’s Champions League will see an all English final for the first time since 2008, and it should be quite a spectacle, with the Reds and Spurs both being well-renowned for their attacking free-flowing football.
Liverpool will be looking to win their first Champions League title since 2005 and their sixth overall, whilst Tottenham will be looking to lift Europe’s premier trophy for the first time in their history.
Both clubs will have massive support in Madrid, and there will be neutral fans back in England cheering them on too.
One former Liverpool player made it clear who he will be supporting come June 1st.
Christian Benteke, who spent one year at Anfield, scoring 10 goals for the club, took to Twitter, offering his support for the Merseyside outfit:
Whatever happens, next month’s final should be a wonderful spectacle, and Liverpool and Tottenham will both fancy their chances of lifting the famous old trophy.
