The striker is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after a disappointing first season at the club.

Christian Benteke’s agent Eris Kismet has told the Guardian that Liverpool are yet to receive any new offers for his client.

The striker is expected to leave Anfield this summer after struggling in his first year at the club following a move from Aston Villa.

He has been told to find a new club by Jurgen Klopp, and has not featured in any of the club’s pre-season games ahead of the new season.

So far Crystal Palace has seemed his most likely destination, with the Eagles seeing a £25 million bid rejected for his services last month.

The Reds are believed to want closer to £30 million for him and his agent has confirmed that no further bids have been received for his services since then.

“We are waiting for any news but at this moment there is nothing concrete,” he told the Guardian.

“There are several teams interested in signing him so hopefully we can reach a solution soon. Christian already said it maybe makes sense for him to go to another club.”

It now remains to be seen if Benteke can seal a move away from Anfield this summer.

It is looking unlikely to happen at present, with Liverpool’s determination to recoup what they paid for him likely putting off a number of potential suitors.

In a competitive market where several teams are looking for strikers though, perhaps someone will consider him a risk worth taking before the transfer window slams shut.
