Christian Atsu has made seven appearances in the Championship for Newcastle United.

Christian Atsu has not ruled out joining Newcastle United on a permanent deal, as per his comments in the Shields Gazette.
Atsu is currently on a season-long loan at Newcastle from Chelsea, and he has made a positive impression at St. James’ Park.
Although the 24-year-old has only made two Championship starts for Newcastle, he has proven to be an effective impact substitute.

And when asked whether Atsu was hoping to make his loan move at Newcastle a permanent switch.
He said: “I cannot comment on that. I just need a good season.”
Atsu has previously been on loan spells with Everton and Bournemouth, but he has already played more often for Newcastle than either of the Premier League pair.

The Ghanian international has already opened his goalscoring account for the Magpies, by curling in a shot against Rotherham United earlier in the season.
Atsu started in Newcastle’s last outing, which came against Preston North End in the EFL Cup.
Although Newcastle won that match, Atsu looks likely to drop back to the substitutes’ bench on Saturday, when Newcastle take on Preston again – this time in Championship action.
