The Magpies got the better of the Hornets at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the match in the 65th minute, as Rafael Benitez’s side picked up all three points from the encounter.
Atsu has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Newcastle – who are now 17th in the Premier League table with six points from 11 matches, just a point above third-from-bottom Cardiff City.
Struggles
Atsu permanently joined Newcastle from Chelsea in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £6.2 million after spending the 2016-17 campaign on loan at St. James’ Park.
The Ghana international winger – who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is struggling for playing time at the moment and has played just 186 minutes of Premier League football so far this season, according to WhoScored.
