Leeds United duo Chris Wood and Kemar Roofe played together at West Bromwich Albion.
Leeds United striker Chris Wood spoke highly of teammate Kemar Roofe on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (January 13, 2017).
Roofe, who is 24 years of age and can operate as a winger or as a striker, joined Leeds from Oxford United in the summer of 2016.
The attacker did not exactly make a great start to life at Elland Road, but he has now established himself as an important player in Garry Monk’s team.
The former West Bromwich Albion prospect has scored three goals and created 19 chances in 25 Championship appearances for the Whites so far this season.
Wood has spoken highly of Roofe, having played with him at the West Brom academy.

“He is a great player,” said Wood about Roofe on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (January 13, 2017) before the Championship match between Leeds and Derby County at Elland Road.
“I played with him in the academy at West Brom, and ever since then you knew that he is a good player, he had the technique, he had the pace, he had the power. He showed that last season, and now he has come on even more coming to us.”

Wood is also playing well for Leeds at the moment and is scoring goals for fun.
The New Zealand international striker has scored 14 goals and created 23 chances in 25 Championship appearances for the Whites so far this campaign.
According to ESPN, Premier League duo West Ham United and Sunderland are interested in signing Wood from Leeds in the January transfer window.
