Chris Wood has offered an insight into his immediate plans after Thomas Christiansen’s arrival as Leeds United’s new manager.
Wood excelled under Christiansen’s predecessor Garry Monk, scoring 30 goals in all competitions as Leeds narrowly missed out on the Championship play-offs.
However, Monk’s shock resignation and subsequent appointment at Middlesbrough has raised minor doubts about the New Zealander’s future at Elland Road.
Several Premier League clubs, including Leeds’ local rivals Huddersfield Town [The Sun], have been linked with big money moves for Wood this summer.

However, the 25-year-old has told Sky Sports he is looking forward to working with Christiansen, who won the Cypriot title with APOEL Nicosia in 2016-17.
“It was a great season last season, both personally and for the team. We put Leeds back on the map, which was a great thing for the club,” he said.
“We’ve done fantastically well as a team and as a unit. It’s a great appointment of the new manager, an exciting new manager who did well last season. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can offer in pre-season and we go from there.”

Leeds will be Christiansen’s third managerial role, having spent three years in Cyprus with AEK Larnaca and APOEL.
It is being reported by the BBC that the Danish-born former Barcelona and Spain striker has signed a two-year deal at Elland Road, which includes the option for a third year.
