Chris Wood left Leeds United for Burnley in the summer transfer window.

Burnley striker Chris Wood has praised Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani, as quoted by The Lancashire Telegraph.

Wood was on the books of Leeds for two years from 2015 until the summer of 2017 when he joined Burnley.

According to The Daily Mail, the Premier League club had to pay the Championship outfit a transfer fee of £15 million in order to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker.

Burnley and Leeds will face each other at Turf Moor in the EFL Cup this evening.

Ahead of the match, Burnley striker Wood has spoken highly of Leeds owner Radrizzani and expects him to take the Whites forward.

“I had a great two years at Leeds, I cannot speak highly enough of the players and coaching staff and the new owner, he was fantastic with me, he is a great man and will take the club forward,” Wood told The Lancashire Telegraph.
