Leeds United climbed to third in the Championship with a 1-0 win over Derby County on Friday night.
Leeds United striker Chris Wood has joked with BBC Radio Leeds that Kyle Bartley was a bit upset when he scored the winning goal during the Whites’ win over Derby County on Friday night.
Garry Monk’s men moved themselves up to third in the Championship with an important win over the Rams at Elland Road and a hugely impressive performance to go with it.
However, despite their dominance, Leeds could only put one past Scott Carson, and that came in the dying moments of the first-half as Wood got on the end of a corner.

United had been knocking on the door beforehand however, with Bartley missing their best chance when he was unmarked at the back post and had most of the goal at his mercy but could only put the ball wide.
And Wood suggested that Bartley was annoyed that he was not able to rectify his mistake at the set-piece that led to the only goal.
“Barts had three of four opportunities, and just unfortunately, it bounced off his knee or hit him in the dish or anything like that,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.

“It was one of those, he told me, ‘you go front post this time, I’m going back post’ and bang, goal, and he’s a bit upset.”
Based on his record so far this season, it will surely not be long before Bartley does get the chance to make amends for missing the chances against Derby.
The centre-back is Leeds’ joint second highest goalscorer in the league this term, with four goals to his name. And he confirmed once again against Derby that he has an ability to put himself in the right positions at set-pieces.
