The Leeds United striker is said to be attracting interest from the Premier League but he must not be allowed to leave whatever the price.
According to a recent report from ESPN, Leeds United value striker Chris Wood at £15million with West Ham United and Sunderland interested in the 25-year-old.
But the simple fact is new Leeds joint-owner Andrea Radrizzani would be crazy to sanction a deal for Wood at any price such is the New Zealand international’s importance to the Whites.
Without his goals, Leeds would be nowhere near the play-off spots this season. As it stands, they are third and have a great chance of earning promotion back to the top flight after far too long away.

While Leeds are said to be understandably keen to keep Wood for the rest of the season, Radrizzani must not tarnish his early months at Elland Road by okaying a move during this transfer window or the next.
The feel-good factor is well and truly back at Leeds, mostly due to the club’s resurgence under manager Garry Monk but also because of Radrizzani’s arrival.

The businessman’s first task will be doing everything in his power to strengthen Leeds’ promotion push, and whether they succeed or not, Wood is vital to their long-term success.
It would be easy to say that every player has his price and that £15million would be an amount too good to turn down for Leeds, but some players are priceless and that is certainly the case for Wood right now.
Radrizzani will have to field plenty of calls about his players in the years ahead, but if anyone mentions his star striker, he should politely end it then and there.
