The Leeds United forward is in great form this season.
Leeds United striker Chris Wood has been speaking to the Independent about Whites coach James Beattie.
The former player reunited with Leeds boss Garry Monk at Elland Road this season, joining as first-team coach, and his experience and advice is something Monk highlights as improving his own game this season.

“It’s good having him there, a striker that I watched playing and scoring goals through his whole career,” Wood told the Independent.
“It’s good having them to give me that extra support, those extra ideas, to take my game on a bit further.”
Wood has scored 13 goals for Leeds this season, playing a vital role in their surge up the Championship table and into the play-off spots.

There is still a lot of work to do before they can return to the top flight, but Leeds are finally making a go of it and looking every inch the promotion candidates their fans have been dreaming of for years.
Monk is the right manager, and Wood is the right striker, to guide them back to the promised land, but as the New Zealand international points out, it is the men behind the scenes who also play their part, of which Beattie is just one.
