The young manager picked up his first win as Leeds United boss on the weekend.

Chris Wood has claimed to The Yorkshire Evening Post that Leeds United boss Garry Monk will be “unbelievable” for the club.
Monk secured his first Championship win as Leeds manager on Saturday as the Whites won 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday to get their season up and running.
It was a timely victory for the 38-year-old amid reports from The Mirror that owner Massimo Cellino was already considering sacking him.

The former Swansea City boss had suffered two defeats and a last-gasp draw in his first three league games, including a 3-0 loss at QPR on the opening day.
But the victory at Hillsborough has restored a sense of optimism about Leeds’ season, and the New Zealand striker said to The Yorkshire Evening Post that he and his team-mates are fortunate to have Monk on board.

“He’ll be unbelievable for this club. I think he’s the one to take us to the next level. He’s a great manager in my opinion. We’re very lucky to have him here.”
Monk will not be getting carried away, though. He has a second-round League Cup clash at Luton Town to negotiate on Tuesday, before turning his attentions toward Saturday’s tricky trip to Nottingham Forest.
Two defeats and the win at Sheffield Wednesday may feel like a long time ago.
