Could Chris Wilder leave Sheffield United for Sunderland in the summer?

Sheffield United will be in the Championship next season, while Sunderland will play League One football during the 2018-19 campaign, but that may not deter Chris Wilder from making the switch.
Wilder is in charge of United at the moment and has done a truly wonderful job at the Blades, who were in the running for the Championship playoffs until the final weeks of the campaign.
As for Sunderland, the Black Cats have suffered back-to-back relegations and will be in League One next season.

Wilder, though, seems to be the open to the idea of leaving the Blades for the Black Cats in the summer.
When asked about the vacancy at Sunderland, Wilder told ChronicleLive: “I don’t know what lies ahead.”
If Wilder was not having second thoughts of remaining at United, then he would have been clear about it.
However, the former Oxford United and Northampton Town manager’s aforementioned comments suggest that he is open to the prospect of managing Sunderland.
Sky Bet have suspended betting on Wilder becoming the new Sunderland boss, and his latest comments have sparked optimistic about the Black Cats’ fans.
