Rangers may have landed a midfielder on deadline day last month, but there are still names being mentioned for potential moves to Ibrox.
The Gers landed Bongani Zungu from Amiens, and now have six first-team midfielders with international experience as Zungu joins Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Scott Arfield.
Zungu has the chance to earn a permanent move to Ibrox, but Sheffield United’s John Lundstram could be an appealing option.
Lundstram was targeted by Rangers over the summer according to The Star, though a number of Premier League sides are also keen.
The 26-year-old notched five goals in 34 Premier League games last season, impressing as a box-to-box midfielder for Chris Wilder’s side.
Now though, Lundstram has indicated that he won’t be renewing his contract, meaning he could leave for nothing at the end of the season.

That would appeal to Rangers, whilst Lundstram – despite playing for Everton – is a boyhood Liverpool fan and could fancy joining up with Reds legend Seven Gerrard.
Now, Wilder has admitted to The Star that this isn’t an ideal situation, as he wants Lundstram to stay rather than have an issue over whether to not to pick him – but he still thinks there’s no downside to the Rangers target playing regularly.
“It’s not an ideal situation and I want ideal situations,” said Wilder. “I’ve talked about this for a long time. I’d love John to stop. Whoever I pick, they’ll go out there. Whatever happens, there’s no downside to John going out there and doing well,” he added.
