The Sheffield United boss is hopeful of securing a deal for the Wolves loanee.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has confirmed the club are hoping to conclude a deal for Ethan Ebanks-Landell in the winter.
The defender has been in good form for Sheffield United this season, scoring four times in 15 appearances from defence.
Speaking to the Sheffield Star this week the Blades manager made it clear he hoped to bring him in this January coming, and told fans they were doing all they can to sign the player:
“Ethan is a popular theme and I completely understand that.
“Supporters have got to trust myself, (CEO) Steve Bettis and (Player Contract Negotiation Manager) Carl Schieber to do what’s best for the club.
“He’s said he wants to stay which is good,” Wilder said. “There’s work going on behind the scenes.”

Wolverhampton Wanderers were the subject of a takeover from the Chinese investment group Fosun this summer and that has seen the club bring in plenty of new faces.
With new players arriving, some of the old had to be shifted out. One such player was Ebanks-Landell.
He left Wolves on transfer deadline day to join Sheffield United on a loan deal until the end of the season.
In September, speaking to The Star, Blades boss Wilder made it clear his intention was to have him tied down to a permanent deal by January.
However, since then Wolves have found themselves a new manager. Walter Zenga has been sacked and Paul Lambert replaced him so he could potentially decide that the defender has a use at the Molineux.
