Chris Wilder has seemingly suggested that ‘everybody’ at Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium on Saturday won’t be able to deny that Sheffield United deserved more than a point from their game.

Spurs recorded a 1-1 draw against Wilder’s Blades over the weekend, as the newly-promoted side were the better team on the day, with VAR also causing a number of talking points.

Sheffield United, who had just fallen behind against the run of play through a Heung-Min Son strike, had a goal chalked off because of offside before they got their rewards later on in the game.

Wilder wasn’t seemingly impressed with VAR, as he also hinted that his team deserved more and that ‘everybody in the stadium’ would be in agreement with him.

“It’s nothing less than what I expected from this group,” Wilder told Football London. “I think we deserved something out of the game and everybody in the stadium would have been in agreement.

On VAR: “When’s the reset? That’s the confusion. The ball came back out again after that. The length of the stoppage doesn’t do anyone any good. If it’s offside then we have to deal with it.”

From Sheffield United’s perspective, it was another strong performance away from home as their good form continues in the Premier League.

They are now sitting fifth in the Premier League table, three points ahead of Spurs who are sitting in the bottom half as there seems to be no end to their struggles

Once again, Spurs will benefit from the international break because it’ll allow the likes of Pochettino to assess their situation because a tough winter period is coming up.
