Would Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window?

The former Tottenham star believes that Leicester need a player like the 26-year-old winger.
According to a recent report in The Mirror, Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in signing the Algeria international star in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that the former Le Havre star is rated at £30 million by Leicester.

“I can see the interest,” Waddle told BBC Sport about Mahrez. “Tottenham need a player like that. I have always said that, the last two years. They need somebody different when teams bang up against them.”

Mahrez is a good player, but the Leicester winger has not been on top of his game for a while now.
The Algeria international winger was a key player in Leicester’s Premier League title success during the 2015-16 campaign.
However, since then, the 26-year-old has not played exactly great, with the Foxes now struggling for survival in the English top flight.
Moreover, would Tottenham need Mahrez once Erik Lamela is back from injury and is back in form?
Another fact to consider is whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would be willing to pay as much as £30m for a 26-year-old.
