Chris Waddle has spoken highly of Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min on BBC Sport.

The former Tottenham star has been impressed with the performances of Son for the North London outfit this campaign.

Waddle wrote on BBC Sport about Son: “Son Heung-min has been a revelation. He has gone away for two spells on international duty this season but he has still stepped up to help Spurs cope without Harry Kane and Dele Alli and has been their stand-out player.

“His numbers stack up in terms of the quantity of his goals but he has made such a big impact on important games too, like Tottenham’s Champions League quarter-final win over Manchester City.

“Son’s energy levels are great, his movement is superb and technically he is very strong – all round he is a great team player who can score and create.”

Son, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, is an important player for Tottenham and has been in superb form for the North London outfit this season.

The South Korea international has missed games for Spurs due to international commitments with South Korea, but when he has been fit and available, the 26-year-old has been stunning.

According to WhoScored, Son has made 19 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham this season, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in the process.

The attacker has made nine starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Spurs, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Tottenham have progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League and are also aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
