Tottenham Hotspur will now be preparing for their Champions League semi-final clash against Ajax on Tuesday evening.

Chris Waddle has claimed that Tottenham will win the Premier League title in the next two years and claimed the money they generate from their new stadium will help.
The former England playmaker claimed that Spurs’ new stadium will ‘take over’ from England’s national stadium, Wembley in regards to hosting big events outside of football.
As a result of that, Waddle believes they will generate more money which will enable them to buy big-name players and seemingly push for PL glory.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (27/04/2019), Waddle was confident at where his former club are heading as he made a number of claims about their stadium.
“Tottenham’s going in the right direction,” Waddle told TalkSport. “I’m sitting in this wonderful new stadium, which is unbelievable and they are going the right way. In a year or two, you will be talking about them winning the Premier League.
On why he thinks Spurs will win Premier League in two years time: “I just think the income they are going to generate. They have got to pay the debts off, but if they are paying it off by the money they are generating, which after four games has been unbelievable figures.
“You are talking about NFL here and Rugby matches here. Not long ago, people were talking about selling Wembley. Tottenham’s going to take over Wembley, I think. They’re going to get all the events. Everything is going to come around here – once they get the money in and the test will be when are they going to buy a player for a lot of money? And can we keep hold of the big star.”

There is no doubt that Tottenham have been the third-best team behind title contenders Manchester City and Liverpool this season.
But even Mauricio Pochettino’s side still have a long way to go in catching them. Spurs are a mammoth 21 points behind current leaders Liverpool.
That is a massive gap to bridge in these next few years, but after moving into their new stadium, the supporters will be hoping that it helps them get to that next level.
