Would Hibernian star John McGinn be a good signing for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in the summer transfer window?

The former Celtic striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has also claimed that McGinn is the second best midfielder in the Scottish Premiership.
The 23-year-old midfielder was linked with a move to the Hoops back in the summer of 2017, with The Express reporting in June 2017 that Celtic were interested in the Scotland international and that manager Brendan Rodgers liked him.

Sutton wrote in The Daily Record about McGinn: “There are going to be clubs in England keeping an eye on him because at 23 there is so much more untapped potential in there and another 10 years at the top level open to the player.
“Celtic should be slamming those doors shut. Hibs want top dollar. So they should. Lennon has mentioned £5million. In this current climate that’s a snip.
“McGinn comes from a Celtic background and I’m sure he would disregard any offers to go south of the border if the opportunity came to move to Parkhead.”

Good singing for Celtic?
McGinn is a very good and promising young midfielder, and working with Rodgers at Celtic is only going to make him better and help him develop.
The problem is that the Glasgow giants have a number of quality midfielders, and it will not be easy for the 23-year-old to break into the first team at Celtic Park.
Moreover, Scott Brown is going strong for the Hoops, and the Scottish midfielder still has three or four years left in him at the very top level.
