Chris Sutton has said that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy should hire Luis Enrique as their new manager.
The former Chelsea striker has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:30pm, March 27, 2023) that Tottenham fans would love for Levy to bring in the 52-year-old Spanish manager.
Luis Enrique is without a managerial role at the moment.
The former Spain international won the La Liga title once as a player with Real Madrid.
Luis Enrique then clinched the La Liga title twice as a player with Barcelona.
As a manager, the Spaniard guided Barcelona to La Liga success in 2015 and 2016, to Copa del Rey triumph in 2015, 2016 and 2017, and to UEFA Champions League glory in 2015.
Spain finished runners-up in the UEFA Nations League in 2020-21 under the 52-year-old.
Tottenham parted company with Antonio Conte over the weekend.
Spurs will hire a permanent new manager to replace Conte at the end of the season.
Chris Sutton wants Luis Enrique as Tottenham Hotspur
Sutton said: “In terms of brand of football, I think they would love Luis Enrique.”

HITC Verdict: Blockbuster managerial appointment
In our view, Luis Enrique would be a blockbuster managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spaniard is one of the best managers around, and he is available now.
If Tottenham do decide to go with him, then it would allow him time to judge the squad from afar and make plans for the future.
