David Moyes has confirmed that Sunderland are interested in Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj.

Chris Sutton has told the Monday Night Club, which was broadcast on BBC Radio Five Live on 1st August, that he is convinced Sunderland could sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj.
Sunderland are known to be interested in Januzaj, but David Moyes seemed to suggest that the transfer would be hard to complete at this stage.

Moyes says that Sunderland could struggle to attract Januzaj to the club, but Sutton is convinced that with some ambition, the Belgian winger would be open to a move to the Stadium of Light.
“I’m sure he could get Januzaj,” Sutton said. “Absolutely sure. If Sunderland want top 10 finishes, then you have to get a certain quality of player in. To then say you can’t get Januzaj and Fellaini, I think that’s a little bit negative.”

Sunderland are the only club in the Premier League yet to make a signing this summer.
The Black Cats’ transfer plans were scuppered when Sam Allardyce unexpectedly took the England job.
Sunderland are now recovering from the set back, and it is believed that they are making good progress with transfers.

Sunderland are said to be in discussions with six players, with David Moyes wanting five new arrivals before the start of the season (Shields Gazette).
Sunderland’s opening Premier League match comes against Manchester City in two weekends’ time.
