Celtic’s Tom Rogic missed Saturday’s Old Firm derby with Rangers.

Celtic were left without playmaker Tom Rogic on Saturday afternoon, but fans have been left furious after he didn’t even play for Australia.
With the AFC Asian Cup on the horizon, Australia have called up Rogic for the tournament, and subsequently for today’s friendly with Oman.
That meant that Rogic couldn’t play for Celtic in Saturday’s Old Firm derby with Rangers – a game that Celtic lost 1-0 in a torrid performance.
Rogic could have made a real difference against Rangers having scored against them regularly in the past, and his absence has enraged Celtic fans.
To make matters even worse, Rogic wasn’t even named in the squad for Australia’s 5-0 friendly win over Oman today.

Rogic was left out due to an injury precaution, leaving Celtic fans incensed that he was prevented from playing against Rangers when he didn’t even face Oman.
Pundit and ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton summed up the mood with a sarcastic tweet about the situation, joking about Australia managing to beat Oman without Rogic after all.
