Celtic’s Scott Sinclair has been questioned by Chris Sutton.
Chris Sutton has criticised Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair for his performance in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Rangers at Parkhead.
The former Premier League forward fluffed a couple of great chances in a first half that ended goalless at Celtic Park.
Manager Brendan Rodgers hauled him off for Olivier Ntcham on 72 minutes and Hoops fans won’t have been sad to see him leave the field of play.
Sinclair, who won the Premiership’s Player of the Year award last term, has only managed nine goals in 18 league outings this time around and needs another 14 goals in the second half of the campaign to better his haul from the 2016-17 season.
And Celtic legend Sutton has suggested that the former Swansea City ace has gone backwards this season.
He told BT Sport: “Sinclair, on half time, should’ve buried a chance, and missed another one where had he showed a bit more courage he certainly would’ve scored.
“Celtic should be in front, but what has happened to Scott Sinclair this season?”
Rangers had plenty of chances themselves, but the likes of Alfredo Morelos was guilty of missing a number of them and 0-0 might be a fair result in the scheme of things.
