Is Celtic star Scott Brown a better midfielder than Southampton ace Steven Davis?

Former Chelsea and Norwich City striker Chris Sutton has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Celtic star Scott Brown is a better midfielder than Southampton ace Steven Davis.

Brown is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the current Celtic team.

The 32-year-old is also an important member of the Scotland national football team.

The midfielder has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.

Meanwhile, Davis has established himself as an important player in the Southampton midfielder over the past few years.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been at the Saints since the summer of 2012 when he joined from Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers for a transfer fee reported by The Mirror to be worth £800,000.

The former Aston Villa and Fulham man, who was a huge success at Ibrox and won the league title in Scotland thrice, is a regular for the Northern Ireland football team and could play at the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next summer.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has suggested on Twitter than Brown is better than Davis.
