Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is better than Luke Shaw of Manchester United, suggests Chris Sutton.
Chris Sutton has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Celtic star Kieran Tierney is better than Manchester United ace Luke Shaw.
Both Tierney and Shaw play as left-backs, and former Celtic striker Sutton has suggested that the 20-year-old Scotland international is better than the 22-year-old England international.
Sutton made a similar claim about Tierney in The Daily Record last month, staying that the youngster is “Britain’s best left-back”.
Shaw showed huge promise when he was at Southampton and earned a £27 million move (as reported by BBC Sport) to Premier League and European giants Manchester United in the summer of 2014.
The 22-year-old England international has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford and has also suffered with injuries.
The youngster has not progressed as it was initially expected so far at United, while Tierney has established himself in the Celtic first team and has played well in the Champions League so far this season.
