Leigh Griffiths was in action for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic against RB Salzburg in the Europa League this week.

The former Celtic striker made the comments following the Hoops’ 3-1 defeat to RB Salzburg in the Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.
Sutton was not impressed with the performance produced by the 28-year-old Scotland international striker – who has been on the books of the Glasgow giants since January 2014 when he joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £1 million.
Sutton wrote in The Daily Record: “Griffiths was the same. He couldn’t use his body to keep it. He didn’t go long and his touch was off.
“To my eye, he just doesn’t look fully fit. He might even be carrying a bit of extra weight. I’m a massive fan of his finishing but it needs more.”

Good form
True, Griffiths did not play well for Celtic against Salzburg, but the Scotland international striker is in good form at the moment.
The 28-year-old has been scoring goals regularly in recent weeks, and one should not be surprised if he finds the target once or two this weekend.
Celtic are fifth in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 13 points from seven matches, six points behind leaders Heart of Midlothian.
