Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to share his honest verdict on Scott Brown’s departure from Celtic after a 14-year stay.
The 35-year-old arrived at Celtic Park in 2007, and has gone on to make an incredible 604 appearances for the Hoops.
After his exit was confirmed, Sutton posted the following tweet.
Now, how on Earth are Celtic going to replace a colossal figure like this?
Brown offered far, far more than what we see from him on the pitch.
The former Hibernian man is a leader of men, and you can bet he was the first to tell someone in the dressing room if they weren’t pulling their weight.

Brown’s playing career will continue – albeit with added responsibility – as he gets set to follow Stephen Glass to Aberdeen.
He will act as a player-coach at the Pittodrie Stadium, meaning he can now add a third club to his CV after spells at Hibernian and Celtic.
In our view, Celtic won’t be able to replace Brown.

Of course, they may find someone to do what he did on the pitch.
However, you simply cannot replace 14 years of experience, and the know-how that comes with it.
At a time where Celtic currently have no manager, and Peter Lawwell prepares to step down, the Bhoys certainly need an injection of leadership from somewhere.
