Rangers defender Rob Kiernan has been named in Chris Sutton’s Team of the Week.

Pundit Chris Sutton has offered his Team of the Week for the Scottish Premiership – and four players represent the Old Firm in his selections.

Celtic got the weekend off to a remarkable start as they beat Motherwell 4-3 in a dramatic encounter, with Louis Moult scoring two first-half goals before Callum McGregor and Patrick Roberts struck to make it 2-2.

Lionel Ainsworth put Motherwell back in front with the fifth goal of the game, only for Stuart Armstrong to instantly equalise, and Tom Rogic then struck in injury time to hand Celtic all three points.

Elsewhere, Rangers bounced back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat at Hearts by beating Aberdeen 2-0 in a huge victory at Ibrox, with Kenny Miller and Lee Hodson finding the back o the net.

Ross County drew 2-2 with a Robbie Neilson-less Heats, whilst St. Johnstone hammered bottom club Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-0 thanks to goals from Liam Craig, Murray Davidson and Danny Swanson.

Kilmarnock beat Dundee 2-0 at Rugby Park to break into the top six, and they have two players in pundit Chris Sutton’s Team of the Week, with Will Boyle and Jordan Jones named in the XI.

Celtic unsurprisingly had the most representatives, as goalscorers Roberts, Rogic and Armstrong were all included, with Motherwell’s Moult leading the line.

Rangers had just the one player in the team as defender Rob Kiernan was picked in the defence, alongside Kilmarnock’s Joe O’Shaughnessy, with Killie team-mate Danny Swanson rewarded too.

The final players come from the Ross County v Hearts game, as County goalkeeper Scott Fox and Hearts full back Callum Paterson were picked by pundit Sutton, as seen below…
