Liverpool legend Gerrard, now in charge of Rangers, is a candidate for the Villa managerial role, according to The Telegraph.
Chris Sutton’s verdict
Former Celtic and Villa striker Sutton believes that if Gerrard is offered the Villans job, then he will leave Rangers and move to the Premier League club.
Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:42pm, November 8, 2021): “Look, if you are asking me, if he was offered the job, would he take the job, I think he would. I think he would.”

In our view, no, Gerrard will not leave Rangers for Villa now.
Maybe in the summer of 2022, but, no, not during the season.
Gerrard knows that he is at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Rangers won the Scottish Premiership title under the Englishman last season.
The Gers are aiming to win it again this season.
Gerrard will surely want to make sure that he guides Rangers to title success this season.
We really find it hard to imagine the former Liverpool midfielder leaving Rangers for Villa right now.
