Former Celtic star has given his view on Celtic and Rangers.

Outspoken pundit Chris Sutton has told Herald Scotland that he feels the expectations of Rangers fans is the team’s biggest weakness.
Rangers are in their first season back in the top flight, and Sutton argues that believing they can challenge for the title this season is simply too big an ask.
He said: “Mark Warburton has a problem and that is the expectation level. Many Rangers fans won’t accept second place but the reality is that Rangers have just come up and to get anywhere near Celtic this season would be progress. That is my view.”

Rangers are of course no guarantees to even get second, with Aberdeen looking strong last season and Hearts also likely to be in the mix.
They sit in second at present though, but are one point behind Celtic who have a game in hand, and losing to their rivals will mean the leaders have an opportunity to open up a seven point gap.
After four years out of the top flight, however, it is hard to tell Rangers fans to be patient, with the desire to topple their rivals greater than ever.

Sutton was far more effusive about Celtic, and believes manager Brendan Rodgers has given new life to the club.
He said: “Brendan Rodgers is a breath of fresh air. He has recruited well and I think Celtic are moving significantly ahead of Rangers.”
He admitted that Rangers ‘played Celtic off the park’ in last season’s Scottish Cup semi-final, which they won on penalties, but believes former Liverpool boss Rodgers is the key difference maker between the two teams, with Rangers also struggling to adjust.
